A Defining Moment at 2 AM

It's March 2000, and I'm staring at my computer screen at 2 AM in my London apartment. The dot-com bubble has just burst, and my second startup, Dotcircus.com, is hemorrhaging cash despite the initial promise. The weight of potentially losing everything – the $1M I raised for Eurotopia, the partnerships worth $500k, the dreams of building something meaningful – sits heavy on my chest. For the first time in my life, hard work alone isn't enough.

The Foundation:
Growing Up in Italy

Growing up in Italy, I was the studious kid who believed deeply in meritocracy – work hard, get results. My nonna would tell me I was intelligent and talented, but I knew the hours I put into my studies. Every exam, every achievement, every step up to landing that prestigious graduate program at PwC – the first in my family to work in London, making my father so proud – had reinforced this belief. Hard work equals success. Simple.

But sitting there at 2 AM, watching my second startup crumble despite all that effort, I was learning that life had a different lesson to teach.

Confronting My Deepest Fear

The failure taught me something profound about the gap between having a brilliant idea and actually building a sustainable business. But more terrifying was the deeper realization: what if despite all the hard work and talent and hours - it still will not be enough? For someone who had always believed in pure meritocracy, accepting that timing, luck, and grace play massive roles in success was earth-shattering.

This fear drove me deep into personal development – Tony Robbins, NLP, anything that could help me understand not just HOW to succeed, but how to find peace with the possibility that sometimes, even your best might not be enough.

Discovering My True Calling

That's when I discovered my true calling wasn't just building businesses – it was helping others build theirs better. The pain of my own entrepreneurial struggles became the foundation for something much more meaningful: ensuring that fellow entrepreneurs and leaders wouldn't have to learn these lessons the hard way.

"Your success is not tied to what you achieve but to who you become in the process."

That journey taught me this fundamental lesson I now share with every leader I work with. The young man staring at that computer screen at 2 AM was measuring himself entirely by external achievements. The advisor I am today understands that the real victory lies in developing the resilience, wisdom, and inner strength to navigate whatever comes – whether it's triumph or failure, whether it's in your control or completely random.

Present Day:
Where Human Wisdom
Meets AI Innovation

Fast-forward to November 2024, and I'm in Shenzhen, China, watching entrepreneurs I've mentored from Malawi – the Rising Flames team with their AI-powered agricultural solution – take the stage as winners of the Southern Africa Regional Competition for Huawei's Seeds for the Future. The same feeling of possibility that once filled that 2 AM apartment now radiates from these young entrepreneurs, but this time, they have the guidance I wish I'd had.

Bridging Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Technology

Today, I operate at the intersection of entrepreneurship, advisory, and emerging technologies. Whether coaching CEOs or consulting for diverse organizations, my mission is clear—to help you achieve clarity, make confident decisions, and realize transformative results through my Clarity → Decisions → Results framework.

In our age of accelerating AI, where machines handle data and patterns, human leadership is more critical than ever. AI might illuminate the "how" and "what," but it can never replace the human capacity to understand the "why." I specialize in guiding leaders through this nuanced landscape—defining where AI fits in your strategy, shedding light on ethical considerations, and helping your organization develop decision frameworks that balance human insight with AI's vast capabilities.

DEEP PURPOSE LABS: Building the Future

Through DEEP PURPOSE LABS, my venture studio, I continue building purpose-driven solutions while advising clients on strategic transformation. This dual approach allows me to not only envision better futures but to construct them, code by code, venture by venture. Here, purpose-driven innovation comes alive – from wellness intelligence platforms for healthcare providers to decision frameworks that help organizations embed authentic purpose into their AI governance.

The Path Forward

The entrepreneurial path isn't about perfection – it's about persistence, learning from failure, and having the courage to help others navigate their own journeys. Whether I'm developing new solutions through DEEP PURPOSE LABS or advising established businesses on strategic transformation, I'm reminded that success isn't measured by individual achievements alone, but by the collective impact we create when experience meets opportunity.

Your next breakthrough begins with clarity. Ready to transform complexity into confident action?
